The next tab is used to change the color of the parts you previously chose. The first tab allow you to select various parts of equipment to dress your character, but you can also choose the "All" line, which gives you a pre-made character resembling a samurai, a soldier, and many more possibilities. This will allow the game to create a starting point for your creation. You are then asked to change the default characteristics of your character, such as the alignment (good or evil), orientation towards attack, defense, etc., and the default armor or your character. The first two steps are quite the same as in Soulcalibur III, except you can't choose a job for your character, but rather a style, meaning the moveset of a character present in the series. In Soulcalibur IV, character creation was given more options to help make the perfect character. The last tab is used to give your character a name and to finally save them. The third tab gives you the opportunity to change your character's face, body color and voice. The second one allows you to change the color of the pieces of equipment you first chose. The first tab allows you to select various parts of equipment to dress your character, but you can also choose the "All" line, which gives you a pre-made character consistent with any job. Once chosen, the mode brings you to the creation itself. Then you have to choose various jobs, each of which is divided into different disciplines. The first step in the creation of your character is to choose their gender: male or female. Despite these fears of mine, I still love Soul Cal, so I am eager to see the direction that Project Soul goes in.An example of created character in Soulcalibur III: Sesshoumaru from the Inuyasha series. Just look at his SC4 ending and his SC1 kata vid.Īll speculation, though. Doubt that would happen, since I think Namco sees Lizardman as a joke character. I would actually like it if Project Soul developed a plot where Lizardman is one of the major villains that doesn’t go after the titular sword, but instead is trying to lead his race to conquer humans. Just speculation, though.Īs far as Lizardman goes…well, he’s the head honcho of the Lizard…men. Bangoo will more than likely be the big heavy hitter, as well, wielding his father’s axe. Another reason I think he won’t be in is because since this game is currently being billed as the “next generation” of Soul Calibur, then it’s a very big chance that Bangoo, the son of Rock will be in this game. So, if he dies, then he’s most likely not coming back. In Soul Cal 3, he killed his makers in a fit of rage when he found out he was a clone of Rock(not making that up). Whenever Astaroth died, the cult who made him just remade him. The only one he didn’t die in was Soul Cal 3, where he basically killed off his revival source. My favorites are Astaroth and Lizardman, and based on how the stories go, I anticipate them not being in.Īstaroth dies in practically every Soul Cal game. I actually anticipate them not being in, too. That said, I will be sad if my favorite characters don’t make it in. I like when fighting games take risks by changing the roster. I find it admirable that this new Soul Cal will be taking place seventeen years later.
